Chinese Dragon
2015Chinese dragon is a combination of nine animals. It has the antlers of a deer, the head of a camel, the eyes of a rabbit, the neck of a snake, the belly of a shell, the scales of a carp, the talons of an eagle, the pads of a tiger, and the ears of a cow. It is sometimes big, sometimes small, sometimes light, sometimes dark. It swims and flies. It is the god of the wind and water.
Surf
2014
Long long time ago there was a door in the ocean called Dragon Door. It was a very large door and it was too large to see in its entirety.
There was a carp swimming everywhere. When it encountered the Dragon Door, it couldn't go any further. But it didn't give up. After many jumps it finally had success.
When the carp jumped over the Dragon Door, it took on a different form: a great dragon!
Wave Flower

Flower Glass - Orange
2014
It was a normal blank lantern from a Chinese store in Amsterdam. I painted it with colors, and wrote black line in between with the technique of Chinese calligraphy.
Rice paper is very thin, so there is no way to change. It requires one hundred percent concentration and full energy. That's also the beauty of Chinese art, I think.
When the light goes through, you can see the energy of the lines, and the rich effect of the colors. It shines like the stained glass in the church.
